#13.2 - VOLCANOES
Réal : Vincent Moon

Nick Diamond told me that he wanted to play in the street, to mess with people. So we did. It was just after their show at La Maroquinerie, in Paris. Five of them played for us, in the streets of XXe arrondissement.
They played ’Don’t call me whitney, bobby’ like a lullaby. We met an old lady bartender, some old drunk guys with their big dogs, some others who walked alog with the band. We saw people dancing at their balconies. We had cars upset when the band began ’Volcano’ in the middle of the street.
And we had this taxi. This taxi who couldn’t do anything but stop his car, and was containing his anger. This car that Kate climbed like a child briefly bit couragously caressing the mouth of a lion.
They did it. When they went back to La Maroquinerie, they sang ’Volcanoes’ like a glorious hymn. They had fun, they got wild in the streets of Paris. Thanks to you, Islands for this moment.
